In this paper, we present psychological distance to science (PSYDISC) as a domain-general predictor of science skepticism. Over the course of 6 studies, we established the validity and factor structure of the PSYDISC scale. Furthermore, we found that psychological distance strongly predicted science skepticism in various domains beyond other established predictors.
